First opened in Sinjuku in 1996, Saboten has expanded its franchise business to 450 restaurants, emerging as the leading high-class donkatsu (pork cutlet) restaurant chain in Japan. In 2001, OURHOME formed a strategic alliance with Japan Green house and introduced this traditional Japanese donkatsu restaurant in Korea. The word "Saboten" is a Spanish word meaning a "cactus", a hardy plant that can live for more than 6 months without water. For the unforgettable taste of donkatsu, OURHOME has developed its food material in Japan for 30 years. The food materials prepared using strict quality management procedure really make a excellence in taste. Saboten serves over 40 different donkatsu dishes. In Korea, the first Saboten franchise opened in October 2001 in Mugyo-dong. Then, the Meong-dong, Apgujeong, Shinsegae Kangnam restaurants opened under the direct management of OURHOME, and the Apgujeong station, Buchun Aiinsworld, Samsung station restaurants opened as affiliated branches. Currently, a total of 7 franchise restaurant are in operations in Korea. OURHOME plans to open about 60 or more of the directly managed franchise restaurants nationwide by year 2005, to secure our No.1 position in the traditional Japanese donkatsu market.
