The Non-Halogen PC/ABS is a material possessing a dynamically improving mechanical property which accounts for resistance to weather, heat, and corrosion given low and high temperatures. The Non-Halogen PC/ABS contributes to the continuous growth of our business with its effective utilization and proper reclamation.

What is Halogen?

Halogen is a series of nonmetal elements from Group 17 of the periodic table, comprising fluorine(F), chlorine(Cl), bromine(Br), iodine(I) and astatine(At). Owing to their high reactivity, the halogens, the halogens are found in the environment only in compounds or as ions. Halide ions and oxoanions such as iodate(IO3-) can be found in many minerals and in seawater.

Peculiarity and harmfulness of Halogen

Halogens are highly reactive, and as such can be harmful or lethal to biological organisms in sufficient quantities. It is also found that it emits environmental hormone and destroys the Ozone layer. Therefore, EU prohibits its usage on flame resistant materials which contains hazardous substances such as bromine(Br) and iodine(Cl) with high recognition to its harmfulness to the environment. International Electrotechnical Commission and Greenpeace conduct regulation and test
