Description

Elevator governor switch is used for detecting overspeed, which cuts the power of electric motor and stops elevator car if elevator car operates at over the normal speed and speed indicator points dangerous speed.

Before elevator car exceeds 130% of regular speed, turn governor switch open and cut the power of electric motor and before over 140%, governor switch is turned open and catch governor rope and operates emergency stop.
