Descriptions Polyurethane Resins For Wet-Process Artificial Leather: Developed for the application of Wet-processed synthetic leather, 1-component PU is a thermoplastic Polyurethane solution. When solvent (DMF) is extracted into Water, it forms a film having genuine leather-like texture and functions. The results are excellent elasticity, resistance to abrasion, solvents and chemicals, low temperature flexibility, and permeability. When Polyurethane solution is immersed in co-solvent composed of DMF and Water, it forms micro porous layer , due to the difference of diffusion rate between DMF and Water, which adds gas permeability, volume, and touch feel which are similar to those of genuine leather. According to usage, we can divide PU resin into several grades of Nubuck, emboss, molding, and dipping-especially for micro fiber-type, which are varied by controlling cell morphology. It is composed of value-added goods which can satisfy needs of user such as physical properties of high abrasion resistance, hydrolysis resistance, etc.. 1.
