Blocked Isocyanate (Hi-block BI-175)

Description Hi-block BI-175 is a blocked polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate and designed for high performance coatings in a wide range of application areas. Especially it is used for the coil coating, can coating and automotive coating to improve the flexibility and adhesion and chipping resistance of baking coating systems. Composition A blocked aliphatic polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate with aromatic solvent Properties Appearance Clear, pale yellow liquid Activity 72±2% Viscosity(25°C) 3,000±1,000cps Density(25°C) 1.04~1.08G/cm3 Free NCO content Max. 0.1% Solvent Aromatic 100(Kocoso1#100) Advantages Fast cure and lower cure temperatures Good flexibility and adhesion Good chip resistance and mechanical properties Excellent weather stability Applications (Powder coating) One component baking systems with hydroxyl functional coreactants - Alkyds, Acrylics, Polyesters, Polyurethane and Epoxies etc. Coil coatings, can coatings, general industrial coatings, appliances and automotive coatings etc. The cure time and temperature required are dependent upon the choice of coreactant and catalysis. Recommended Amounts and Incorporation Methods In coatings on total resin solids, 2.0~5.0% of delivery form. Hi-block BI-175 is easily incorporated into coating formulations by the standard mixing operation.
