Description SG-510 is a pourable translucent polyolefin wax supplied as a paste dispersed in xylene. It is designed for giving excellent anti-settling in solvent-based industrial coatings without significant viscosity increase and seeding. Advantages Give manufacturing economics due to easy transfer and dispersion Especially designed for metallic and flat paint Excellent anti-settling properties and prevention of hard caking in can No significant viscosity increase under normal condition No seeding and good viscosity stability in storage Physical Properties Apperance : Translucent milky white liquid Non-Volatiles : 9 ~ 11% Specific Gravity : 0.86 ~ 0.88 Solvent : Xylene Incorporation High shear conditions and heat (30~60°C) are both required for proper activation and dispersion of SG-510, but preferable to increase the temperature to minimum 45°C for excellent performance of industrial coatings. It should be added during the dispersion stage, preferably pre-mixed in vehicle before the addition of other mill base components. Recommended Levels The typical addition level will vary depending on the type of coatings formulation. Recommended amount is 2.0 ~ 5.0% based on total formulation weight. In the case of industrial coatings with pigments having high specific gravity, the use of higher level of SG-510 is highly required. Storage SG-510 should be stored in the tightly closed original container in a cool and dry place at 5 ~ 30°C. Avoid exposure to heat source and direct sunlight. Under recommended storage condition, SG-510 may be stored up to 12 months. Packaging 16 Kgs in tin can, 150 Kgs in drum.
