Our anti-settling agent, SG-520, is a highly efficient rheological additive supplied as a pourable paste dispersed in xylene. It is designed for giving excellent anti-settling in solvent-based industrial coatings without significant viscosity increase. Advantages Prevents pigment settling without significant viscosity increase Give manufacturing economics due to easy transfer and dispersion Can be used with other rheological additives for synergistic effects No significant gloss reduction Pigment suspension at low additive level Physical Properties Apperance : Translucent to white soft paste Non-Volatiles : 19 ~ 21% Specific Gravity : 0.87 ~ 0.89 Solvent : Xylene Incorporation High shear conditions and heat(30~60°C) are both required for proper activation and dispersion of SG-520, but preferable to increase the temperature to minimum 45°C for excellent performance of industrial coatings. It should be added during the dipersion stage, preferable pre-mixed in vehicle before the addition of other mill base components. Recommended Levels The typical addition level will vary depending on the type of coatings formulation. Recommended amount is 1~2% based on total formulation weight. In the case of industrial coatings with pigments having high specific gravity, the use of higher level of SG-520 is highly required. Storage SG-520 should be stored in the tightly closed original container in a cool and dry place at 5 ~ 30°C. Avoid exposure to heat source and direct sunlight. Under recommended storage condition, SG-520 may be stored up to 12 months. Packaging 16 Kgs in tin can, 150 Kgs in drum.
