This unit charges battery using the solar cell. It is a multi-purpose solar energy charging battery which can be used to operate LED lamp or other electric equipment such as DC fans or SC amplifier. When fully charged, it will last approximately 20 hours when two LED(3.6W) lamps are connected.     To turn LED lamp On/Off  -  Connect LED lamp to output jack of the Main Control Unit.  -  To switch on the LED lamp, turn on the Main Control Unit.  -  Due to attached light sensor, LED lamp will only come on after dark, not during the day. -  To manually turn off the LED lamp, turn off the Main Control Unit.                -  To check for proper operation, cover the light sensor windows and see if the lamp comes on.      If not, please check the cable connection and the power switch.  -  If the Unit does not work even with the proper connection, please inquire at the place of      purchase. Charging battery After certain period of time with usage of LED lamp, the indicator light will blink in red and the LED lamp will turn itself off if the battery is running low.  The battery should be recharged using solar cell or adaptor to be useful again. There are two ways to charge as follows. (1)  Charging by solar cell-  Indicator LED displays the charging status of solar cell and displays when fully charged. -  To install solar cell for the maximum charging, please refer to Fig.1 and 2 for the placement of     solar  cell. Please   in such direction and angle to possibly have green indicator light come on. If the solar cell is installed indoor, battery charging may not be effective due to thickness of window pane, color of windows tinting if any, direction or angle of the solar cell. It is the same in cloudy or rainy weather conditions. It is recommended to install the solar cell outdoor.  If the battery is completely discharged, it may take up to two days in sunny weather to fully recharge  Indication of charging status is shown. When fully charged, green LED will blink regardless of the charging status. (2) To charge using the adaptor(More than 12V/0.5A) Indicator LED light will display charged amount of  battery. When charging with the adaptor, connect the adaptor to output jack of Power Control Unit. It may take up to nine hours to  fully charge when empty.  (2) Charging with AC Adaptor (More than 12V/0.5A)       Indicator LED light will display charging status of battery. When charging with the       adaptor, Plus in the adaptor to the solar lantern. It may take up to six hours and thirty Minutes to be fully charged if the battery is completely discharged. All lights(Green, Orange, Red LED) blinking may indicate higher than 30V or battery charging circuit maybe out of order. Please inquire at the place of purchase. To protect the battery, recharging may be terminated automatically. Indication of  Battery Status When the Min Control Unit is turned on initially, the Indicator LED will displays the battery status as below. Battery is completely discharged if the indicator LED is blinking red, then the power is disconnected automatically to protect the battery. In this case, Please charge the Power Control Unit(MCU) at once. It is recommended to recharged immediately. Technical Characteristics of Micom Control Circuit (1) Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT)       MPPT automatically tracks to maintain the best charging. (2) Generation Maximum Power Indicator(GMPI)       GMPI measures the generated amount and indicates the status by LED (Please refer to Charging by the solar cell)(3) Battery Protection function      Battery is protected by automatic power shut off in cases of low voltage due to discharging or high voltage due to over charging.(4) Indicating charging status       Displaying battery charging status with different indicator LED light (5) Indicating battery status      Displaying residual battery amount with different indicator LED light (6) Power Control Unit output jack protection from over flow      Automatically blocks the output jack to protect from any malfunction or short circuit of plugged-in equipment.
