Ball Mill
Sample is pulverized by impulse force of Media's gravity drop. Small Media is not suitable because must use ball that is given much weight.
If use the small ball, there is no effect of pulverization because of rotating with Slurry Sample within Drum.
Because Media Size is big, pulverization time is required long time and contact area between Media and Media is smaller than area of Media microscopic. It is difficult to get sharp particle distribution.
Crushing efficiency drops because rotation RPM and m/s is low compared to Attrition Mill and Beads Mill.
Attrition Mill
Do pulverization and dispersion by shock power and shear force between Media and Media with agitating Media by physical force.
In the case of Circulation Type, lower Gird Tagong that Slurry is injected should be more than 1mm and it makes smooth circulation. It becomes a problem to use Media less than 1mm.
Because Using Media's Size is smaller than Ball Mill, crushing efficiency is excellent.
FINE Mill
Do pulverization and dispersion by shock power and shear force between Media and Media with agitating Media by physical force.
Slurry is discharged through Cyclone Separate. There is no efflux of Media out of Vessel. There is no Bead contamination of Beads and equipment failure.
Because Media Size is small, contact areas and points between Media and Media big and many. Therefore, can reduce fairly pulverization time, and get sharp particle distribution.
Disk's rotation m/s is more than 10m/sec and impact (contact) frequency between Media and Media per unit time becomes increasing. It can get a sharp particle size distribution.Using Media : 0.1 - 1.5mm Zirconia YSZ type 80%
Combined use is possible by horizontal and vertical. It can be used selectively by condition of viscosity, initial particle size, pulverization, dispersion, etc.
