Rustec - VCI FILM

Description A polyethylene film infused with a corrosion inhibiting formulation designed to provide corrosion protection for ferrous or non-ferrous metals. Rustec VCI Film protects by wrapping the metal object with sheet, bag, etc. The VCI vaporizes and condenses on all metal surfaces, reaching all exposes and recessed areas. Features Provides mono-molecular inhibiting layer Transparent : easy to identify products, allows visual inspection without unwrapping. Flexible : available as bags, resealable bags, tubing, sheeting. Heat sealable Available in 0.05mm to 0.20mm thickness Benefits Vapor-phase inhibition and ionic action help protect inaccessible and recessed surfaces. If VCI layer is disturbed by opening the package, protection is restored by closing the package. Protected equipment can be used immediately without degreasing or cleaning. No spraying, wiping, dipping, or surface preparation of metal required. Sealed polyethylene package provides protection against moisture. Convertible to a wide variety of sizes and types of bags, shrouds, and liners to protect small or large parts. Heat sealable film can be used with manual or automatic equipment. Method Of Application When using Rustec sheeting, should be completely wrapped or shrouded to prevent entry of moisture or air. Protected product should be handled and stored to prevent puncture, tearing, or ripping of Rustec VCI Film. Insert product in bag or pouch and close securely to prevent entry of moisture or air. Products should be placed within 30cm from Film.
