Air Operated Valve - Normal Open Type

The Air Operated Valve (AOV) is a valve that opens and closes valves using air pressure. As air pressure is used, there is almost no danger of an explosion occurring compared with valves that are operated with electric signals. As the AOV operates under pressure of as little as about 5kgf/cm2, the product can be used any place where air is supplied. There is the Normal Close Type and the Normal Open Type according to valve conditions, whether the valve is open or closed in normal times.Step 1. In the normal open type, the stem connected with the round plate is in an upper position in normal times, so the valve is open.Step 2. If air pressure is applied from the upper side at this time, the round plate is moved downward by incoming air pressure.Step 3. The stem connected to the round plate also moves downward, blocks the open orifice and cuts off the flow of the fluid.Step 4. To open the valve again, you should block incoming air pressure and vent air within the product.Step 5.
