Ferrite magnet

 They offer an excellent cost performance and are made mainly from Fe2O3(Iron Oxide) and BaCO3(Barium carbonate) or SrCO3(Strontium carbonate). These magnets are formed by power metallurgy. There are two types of magnet: the Isotropic magnet, molded in the absence of a magnetic field and the Anisotropic magnet, which has out standing properties in the direction of the field. These two types magnets are also divided as wet and dry type by using water or not in producing. Dry process will be adopted when production of small size or small quantity is required because of the ease of tool change and the lower cost in developing toolings than wet process, even though it has a weak point of lower magnetic properties than those of wet.
