1. Hot Rolled SteelThe slab from the continuous casting mill or the bottom mill is heated in the reheating furnace at a temperature of 1,250ºC. After the slab is heated and before it can be rolled, the scale that has accumulated on the slab’s surface is removed by the scale breaker. At the roughing mill and finishing mill, the slab is rolled to its target specifications before being cooled at the cooling table where it is then made into hot rolled coils.

2. Steel Plate
TMCP is the process of rolling and accelerated cooling (PILAC) to produce high tensile steel without heat treatment, which means by adding small amount of alloy, high strength and superior tenacity are obtained and reduction of carbon equivalents (CEQ) provides better performance in use of welding by the customers.

3. Wire Rod
In order to improve the surface quality of wire rods, the surfaces of the materials, billets, are descaled by shot blasting. And after inspecting any surface flaw and imperfection by a magnetic particle tester, the flaws are removed from the surface by using a grinding machine. In addition, the continuous ultrasonic testing is conducted to guarantee the internal quality of the billets.
4. Cold Rolled Steel
All POSCO mills have adopted PCM(Pickling & Tandem Cold Rolling Mill) type which make continuous processing from pickling and cold-rolling process possible. Steel sheet that has undergone this line are then forwarded as pickled coils or used as material for hot-dip galvanized steel sheet.
5. Galvanized Steel
It is the equipment that applies zinc plating by dipping a sheet of hot-rolled steel into a molten zinc pot so as to be coated with zinc deposits.
6. Electrical Galvanized Steel
There are plating facilities of Horizontal type and Casosel type. The horizontal type is moving horizontally in the plating bath and both faces are plating at the same time and produces double faced plating materials not generating band mark. And the carosel type can produces a product which is proper to the customer's requirements such like coating ability, corrosion resistance ability through free control of plating quantity - one side, deflection, double faced plating etc. - by one side by one side plating, steel plate rotating with adhesion to conductor roll. Producible plating kinds are Pure-Zn, Zn-Fe, Zn-Ni, heterogeneity plating And also recently, the production quantity of environment familiar steel plate is increasing with demand increasing, which is not coated with Cr.
7. Electrical Steel
This mill provides the internal energy needed for efficient grain growth by rolling steel plates up to the target gauge. This minimizes eddy current loss while in use after the manufacturing of iron core.
8. Stainless Steel
The main raw materials, Ferro-Alloys(Fe-Cr, Fe-Ni) and stainless steel Scrap are melted in the Electro Arc Furnace(EAF). The material steel is refined for the properties of steel for the application through the vacuum with gas or decarbonization, deoxidization and desulfurization.
