Introduction
- Spring and winter A hybrid netted and white green fleshed melon with good disease resistance. Long keeping ability, adapted for early spring and autumn and winter sowing. Round shape, netted, medium green rind before maturity turing to grayish yellow at harvest. Very sweet with 14-15% brix in sugar content. Fruit 1.5-1.7kg with green coloured flesh of excellent eating quality. Has a good keeping ability after harvest. Cultivation The fruits can be harvested in 50 days after fruit setting. Grow one fruit each plant on 12~15 nodes of the secondary vines. The minimum temperature should be 14 degrees celsius in flowering stage and 18 degrees celsius in reproductive growth stage. The temperature difference between day and night time is 15 degrees. Topping Off (Pinching) Keep three best balanced secondary vines and select and grow one sound secondary vine in due time. The secondary vine should have only two leaves and cut others. Do set the best one fruit on 12~15 nodes of the main vine and keep 8(low temperature season) and 12(high temperature season) leaves for productive growth. Topping off(pinching) can be done from 24th to 28th node of the main vine after fruit setting.
