In 24-hour operated plant, it exerts excellent performance. the measuring instrument uses radiation, which largely consists of source part, the detection part, and the digital signal treatment part that converts detected value to digital signal.
Source part generates gamma ray by using a radioactive substance (Cs-137), the detection part on the opposite side converts gamma ray into light signal by using scintillator and changes intensity of each position to electrical signal, and then, it changes it into digital signal by using electronic circuit, which can accurately measure and control the level of a solution inside a pipe. Because it uses radiation, it can measure accurate value without giving influence to vessel or internal material. In future, when atomic power plant is operated in the medium level, this product rather than current tigon hose method is examined, which will contribute to construction period reduction and safety operation.
