Graphite Raschig rings

Among various packing materials in the market, Graphite Raschig rings are distinguished by following characteristics :

• Prices of carbon / graphite Raschig rings are nearly half of S. S. tower packings.

• Carbon Raschig rings have one third the weight of metal tower packings.

• They have a crushing strength of 600 kg/cm2 and negligible porosity.

• 1. Caustic scrubbers – Merox units , in Isomerisation units for MSP ( EURO -III) for Refineries.
  2. Ethyl alcohol ( Sulphuric alkylation) stripping towers.
  3. HCL stripping towers – HCl tailend absorbers
  4. 70% sulphuric acid 15% HF pre-scrubbing towers.
  5. Carbon dioxide absorption towers with M. E. A.
  6. High temp. weak sulphuric HCl wash towers.
  7. Penex Units
  8. Weak Acid Cooling Towers
