The component materials for the arrays are carefully selected with results in mind. Wooriro’s arrays are made from glass parts, or more specifically, quartz. The planar base is constructed either mechanically or lithographically. The standard for the fiber pitch control is a polish at an angle of 98. Although customized angles are available or a flat finish, also available are custom fiber types. Both the materials and the production of the arrays give high precision position accuracy, reliability and low insertion loss. All of the array types have passed the GR-1209&1221-CORE Test.

Wooriro offer a range of different types of arrays. The 1ch array comes in a 2.0x8.0x2.0 (mm) or 2.5x8.0x2.5 (mm) substrate of one fiber. The 4ch array has spacing of 250um and a 2.35x9.7x1.4 (mm) substrate and a 2.35x4.5x1.0 (mm) lid and a fiber type of four ribbons ribbon x one. The 8ch model has a spacing of 127um and 250um and a 2.35x 9.7x1.4 (mm) or 3.05x9.7x1.4 (mm) substrate a 2.35x4.5x1.0 (mm) or 3.05x4.5x1.0 (mm) lid and is four ribbons x two or eight ribbons x one. The 16ch model has a spacing of 127um and a 3.05x9.7x1.4 (mm) substrate and a 3.05x4.5x1.0 (mm) lid and a fiber type of eight ribbons x two. The largest, 32ch, model has spacing of 127um and a 5.45x12.0x1.4 (mm) substrate and a 5.45x4.5x1.0 (mm) lid and a fiber type of eight ribbons x four. The largest has the special characteristic of being available in 254um or no gap spacing.
