1.Brief Introduction
 
Acerola cherry, also known as West indian cherry,is drupaceous fruit, whose form varies from round to conic. When mature, the fruit can be red, purple or yellow. The weight of fruit is 3-16g.
 
Acerola cherry is rich in pectin and pectin hydrolase, carotenoid, plant fiber, protein, sugar, vitamin A, B1, B2, VC, niacin, calcium, phosphorus, iron, and other minerals.
