Fucoidan Description:
In 1913, Swedish scientist Kylin discovered viscous constituents in brown algae in the laboratory of Uppsala University. Fucoidan, also known as sulfated fucans , fucose, fucoidin, is widely distributed in the cell wall matrix of brown algae plants such as Kunbu and Laminaria japonica. Fucoidan is mainly composed of fucose and sulfate. Fucose mainly activates the body's autoimmunity to fight AI cells, while sulfate mainly inhibits the proliferation of blood vessels, cuts off the supply of oxygen and nutrients to AI cells, and prevents their growth and diffusion. The Japanese Health and Nutrition Association (JHFA) publicly announced the food standard of fucoidan in July 2017. The results of the Medical Department of Tottori University in Japan showed that the optimum molecular weight of fucoidan was about 110,000.
