Either camera body or object with the sensor moves vertically to produce 2-dimensional images. It can produce higher image quality very much economically and effectively than the area scan camera does, and it is widely used at high resolution and precision automatic inspection such as web inspection and flat panel inspection, etc.

* Line scan camera evidencing good performance

DALSA Piranha 2 camera that follows good reputation of Piranha can produce either 8 or 10 bit output by high sensitivity and high speed. Piranha 2 series has two versions, that is to say, 10µm pixel having high responsivity and 7µm pixel having high resolution, and it has 30/40 MHz of data rate (per tap) to have models with various kinds of resolutions of 1k ~ 12k. Standard interface Camera Link™ has been used to have high speed and simple cables. The camera has been embedded with CDS(correlated double sampling) and FFC(flat-field correction) algorithm to produce stable and constant output. You can make use of standard lens (C, F mount, M72x0.75) at all of the resolutions.

* FFC(flat field correction)

FFC, image correction, can produce clean images by FPN/PRNU correction. And, FFC can compensate for shading effect that can be produced by distorted transmittance of the lens because of high sensitivity of the camera.
