The purpose of the development for Heading Auto Track Control Steering System(Auto Pilot)

The auto track control steering system was developed for the purpose of fuel saving of the ship and improvement of steering environment through making the ship to follow the determined meridian line pursuing the destination with the magnetic flux driving the ship into the safe straight route of the shortest distance by the calculation of the drifting of hull pushed by the tides, waves and wind pressure via recognition for the direction of the prow of ship.

It suggests the problems and solutions for the ships installed the gyro compass out of the ships which cruise the coastal area and ocean route and the replacement interface method with surrounded navigation equipment in case of main gyro disorder in the ships beyond 500tons which involve in the ocean navigation requiring the mounting gyro compass according to the regulation of I.M.O(International Marine Affairs Organization)
