Korea's land prices rise 1.25% in H1

South Korea’s land prices continued to grow in the first half of the year, government data showed Wednesday, amid a residential building construction boom partly created by a series of government measures aimed at boosting the property market. Doosan Heavy bags W220b deal

[THE INVESTOR] Korea’s top power equipment maker Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction said on June 27 that it has bagged a 220 billion-won (US$185 million) deal to build a desalination plant in Iran. Drop in Korea's exports to China extends to record streak in May

South Korea’s exports to China continued to shrink from a year earlier in May, tying the record streak of 11 months of decrease, industry data showed Thursday. Outbound shipments to China came to US$9.93 billion won last month, down 9.1 percent from the same month last year, according to the data from the Korea International Trade Association. Overseas orders of Korean construction firms hit four-year low

Overseas orders won by South Korean construction companies fell to the lowest in four years, a trade association said Tuesday, in the latest sign that local builders are reeling from the impact of low oil prices. LH to sell Niblo Barracks

Korea Land & Housing Corp plans to sell apartment buildings and land in Hanam-dong, Seoul. The state-run LH housing developer will put out a notice on March 30 for the auction of Niblo Barracks, which consists of more than 500 apartments, and 60,677 square-meters of land in the area owned by Korea’s Ministry of National Defense. Korea's housing market stays upbeat in Q4: report

South Korea’s housing market continued its upside mode in the fourth quarter of last year on the back of a government-led stimulus and low borrowing costs, a report showed Wednesday.
