Kakao to integrate video service platforms

Kakao is strengthening its video content business by integrating its video-on-demand (VOD) service and personal media production platforms early next year, according to the company Thursday. Kakao seeks larger offline presence

Kakao, the nation’s largest mobile messenger operator, has been showing an endless appetite for new revenue sources by acquiring start-ups in recent months. Kakao, Line vie in Asian character market

KakaoTalk and Line, the nation’s top two mobile messengers, have been pitted against each other to take the lead in the $20 billion Asian character merchandising market.
