The geothermal energy system uses the difference in temperature between water, underground water, and underground heat for heating and cooling. About 47% of solar energy is stored underground via the surface of the earth and the underground temperature is kept at about 10℃~20℃, although the temperature differs depending on geographical features. Such thermal energy can be used for cooling and heating systems.
