About us:Since 2008, Melon cluster project has been specially proceeded by the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries in Korea. Melon cluster project was organized, with the vision to nurturing high quality of melon in the world, by industry(Gokseong Melon Company), academy(College of Life Science in Chunnam University, Food Engineering Department in Suncheon University), research institute(Chunnam Research Institute, Management Research Institute in Chunnam University, Biological Control Center) and related authorities(MAFF, Provincial Office, County Office).

Since the establishment of Gokseong Melon Co., Ltd in 2009, the image of Gokseong melon has been greatly changed through consistant marketing and promotional activities. Hence, our brand has gained consumers' confidence and through the regular program of workshop, business discussion and field trip to advanced countries we have induced to improve grower's conventional concept of agricultural point of view.

In respect of quality management, we have integrated APC system and used non-destructive sugar tester, sack making machine, so uniformity of quality like brix test can be secured at the production site. Thanks to the introduction of GAP certification and traceability system, we induce growers continuously cultivate eco-friendly melon which can be enjoyed safely by all of consumers.

For the development activities, we have affiliated with the College of Life Science in Chunnam University and Food Engineering Department in Suncheon University, and jointly develope a new variety as well as new technology to countermeasure against continuous cropping hazard. Also, for the innovation of distribution system, we have closely cooperated with Biological Control Center, Chunnam Research Institute and the Management Research Institute in Chunnam University, respectively.
