The channel-type recuperator consists of many steel tubes and is a system to be installed in the high temperature flue duct of an industrial furnace, in order to preheat combustion air or fuel gas. Consequently, it permits operation in a wide range of flue gases, at temperatures of up to 1,050°C. The preheated air temperature is set at a maximum of 800°C, and this type is used most commonly with industrial furnaces in general.
