Sun-tech has developed a high-efficiency generator using a 2-3000kw permanent magnet rotor. The use of a finite element method in the generator’s design delivers better waveforms, minimizes leakage flux and improves efficiency.

Suntech’s permanent magnet generator drastically reduces harmonics that have a large effect on load facilities, which generates clean voltage. The size of the generator is 2/3 of existing generators and overall efficiency at 98.62% is a notable improvement over traditional generators at 91.9%. Comparing to a 500kw diesel generator, this leads to total annual savings of nearly 50 million won
