What makes a good seaweed paper?
-The darker and glossier the paper is, the better its quality. It should also have little blemish.
- It should have little laver of light green color.
- It should be thin but durable and taste nutty.
- The paper surface should be even without empty space and turn green when roasted.
How to keep laver paper
-Laver paper is the most vulnerable to humidity. If it absorbs moisture from the air, it loses its unique
color and scent. Therefore, it should be kept away from humidity. The longer laver paper is kept, the
more the color turns purple. To prevent this, seal it so that air does not penetrate and wrap it in
newspaper for it to absorb the moisture.
-Turn in the microwave for one minute to turn soggy laver paper that has absorbed moisture into
crisp paper.
